WINNING TIPS - HELPFUL TIPS TO GET YOU STARTED!

We're talking about Financial Credit, not college credits.

Use your imagination. Essays only about credit cards don't win.

For Instance:

At the beginning of the last century, say 1906, if you were to stop someone on the street corner and ask them about their credit card rate or frequent flier awards program they would have thought you were nuts. There were no credit cards and the Wright Brothers hadn’t flown yet! There was no such thing as Electronic Funds Transfer, No Debit Card, no Euro Dollar and very few checks were written my individuals. There was no IRA, 401K, No Social Security, No Medicare let alone Welfare, No Unemployment Insurance, very little Health Insurance. Look how far we have come in just 100 years. So the question for the 21st Century is this - What will credit look like in say 25 years, 50 years? How should it be used responsibly by an individual or government? How would you use it for your benefit? Is getting into debt ever a good idea? Why or why not? Will our entire credit history including out bank account balances and credit score be on a chip implanted in our finger tip that we swipe on a pad that immediately takes the money (speaking of which don't you think pennies are about outdated as a means of payment?) from our account? Or will we simply have "Warm’s" World Recognized Monetary Credits? When we swipe our fingertip to pay for our purchases, will our fingerprint be taken at the same time and verified instantaneously via the WWFDB - World Wide Finger Print Data Base - to guard against identity theft? Will we be paid hourly, will we be paid in credits, and will our employer buy our car? Will our car cost more or less? Can we afford a home? Will there be a moratorium on the number of kids we have or get a tax credit for having one or none? What will our tax structure look like? Will our country be bankrupt because of the national debt, Social Security and Medicare? How will we pay for college education? These are a few ideas to think about. I'm sure you have many more. Then take them and weave them into a story or an essay. It can be fictional or based on fact. Combinations are nice. Webster’s definitions definitely are out! Have Fun and learn something. Don't forget the March 1 deadline. There is no application to fill out, just follow the simple rules for submission.

Good Luck,
